How to get to El Calafate

Land Access: Whether you choose to travel by bus or car, you can reach your destination by road. From the north, access is via National Route 40, and at the town of Charles Fuhr, it connects with Provincial Route 11 to reach El Calafate after 37 kilometers.

Another option, if the person is on the east side, is to access via National Route 3 in direction to Monte León National Park, connecting with Provincial Route 9, then take National Route 40 to finally access Provincial Route 11.

By air: it's a good idea to take a plane if you want to arrive faster at your destination, you can reach Comandante Armando Tola International Airport in El Calafate, located 23 km from the city.
